Supporting people to reclaim their one precious life

My Story

I have spent the past 40 years as an educator and trainer in universities, not-for-profit and government organisations. After being diagnosed with breast cancer in 2006, I decided to refocus my work to counselling in loss, bereavement, palliative care, dementia care, cancer support and end-of-life.

I have worked as a bereavement and end-of-life counsellor

in a hospice and community palliative services and facilitated women’s cancer support groups. I have hosted workshops for women in midlife and written a book ‘A Life Half Lived’, which is about ordinary women doing extraordinary things to follow their passion in midlife. In addition, I am a certified Happy For No Reason facilitator.

This year I have also become a Dementia Doula, which involves working with families who are navigating a dementia diagnosis, providing them with support, education and compassion.

Life’s Next Chapter combines my passion, life skills and experience to provide support to those who want to be happier and more inspired in their lives. Working with loss and bereavement has taught me that you really do need to live each day as if it is your last and have no regrets about what could have been.
