Dementia Doula Support
Support. Care. Understanding

Dementia can be a frightening diagnosis, throwing not only the person diagnosed, but also the entire family into the unknown. Families can be left feeling overwhelmed, confused, frightened of the future and out of their depth.

  • What does this diagnosis mean?

  • I’m overwhelmed by the amount of information I have been given.

  • How will we continue to care for our family member?

  • How can I have a meaningful relationship if I can no longer communicate the way we did before?

  • What’s if they no longer know who I am?

  • As the dementia has progressed lots of our friends have abandoned us.

  • I’m exhausted, I’m not sure how much more I have to give.
